Righteous Among the Nations Redux: Maybe You Were Right Anne Righteous Among the Nations Redux: Maybe You Were Right Anne Date: 4/6/2017 Time: 10:00 AM 2647 Professional Way Naples, FL 34119 Phone: (239) 598-6153 Register Event Description: Each year, we end this annual lecture series by meeting a few of the 26,450 individuals designated by Yad Vashem in Jerusalem as Righteous Among The Nations. These non-Jews risked their lives, the lives of their families, and the safety of others in order to save Jews during the Holocaust. Factual stories will be told of the Huguenots, Catholics and Protestants who received this honor. These individuals defined themselves as willing to risk everything to save lives, knowing they may have to pay the ultimate price for their heroism, at the hands of the Nazis and their collaborators. This class is part of the 5th Annual Elliott Katz 2017 Lecture Series, which is being held at Hodges University, in partnership with the Frances Pew Hayes Center for Lifelong Learning. Individuals must register to attend. Tickets are $10 per person for each lecture or $50 for the entire series. Guests who attend at least three lectures will receive a free tour of the Southwest Florida Holocaust Museum. In addition, guests of the first lecture will receive “Project Tolerance: The Faces of Anne Frank” by Myra Roberts, a Sanibel-based artist whose work has appeared both public and private collections throughout the United States and Europe.
