Date: 3/13/2017 Time: 10:00 AM 2647 Professional Way Naples, FL 34119 Phone: (239) 598-6153 Event Description: This is the astounding story of how the International Committee of the Red Cross intentionally adopted a policy intended to ignore the persecution, imprisonment and murder of Jews, Roma and Sinti, as well as other Nazi political and religious “enemies.” This lecture tells how and why the Red Cross implemented a policy of acquiescence in Nazi Germany’s violation of the Geneva Convention. Newly discovered information explains the relationship between Nazi Germany, Switzerland and the ICRC. This class is part of the 5th Annual Elliott Katz 2017 Lecture Series, which is being held at Hodges University, in partnership with the Frances Pew Hayes Center for Lifelong Learning. Individuals must register to attend. Tickets are $10 per person for each lecture or $50 for the entire series. Guests who attend at least three lectures will receive a free tour of the Southwest Florida Holocaust Museum.
