Bonita Springs, Fla. (May 27, 2014) - The Bonita Springs Estero Economic Development Council (BSEEDC) recently welcomed Tom Goettel, Director of Special Projects at Shaw Development LLC, Matt Stepan, Commercial Broker at Premier Commercial Inc., and Susan Takacs, Chief Operating Officer at Physicians Regional Healthcare System – Pine Ridge to their Board of Directors. 

Goettel comes from Pittsburg, PA area with a background in public accounting and auditing.  During the first 16 years of his career, he worked in a variety of industries including construction, automobile and marine/RV sales, and manufacturing.  For the past 14 years, Goettel served as Controller with Shaw Development, LLC leading him to his current position as Director of Special Projects, which includes mergers and acquisitions.  He said, “I want to participate in the development and growth of Bonita Springs and Estero and to assist in developing an area that will draw quality employers to give the residents of Bonita Springs and Estero a stable economy.”

 Stepan’s roots are tied to the Midwest where he earned a B.A in Communications from Eastern Illinois University.  He has served as a Commercial Associate with Premier Commercial, Inc. since his relocation to Southwest Florida in 2004.  In 2010, he achieved the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) awarded by the CCIM Institute.  Stepan said, “I have worked in Bonita Springs for 10 years as a commercial real estate broker.  Many of the issues raised by the BSEEDC have a direct effect on my business and in the area in which I love to do business.” 

 Takacs has held several hospital operations positions throughout her eleven year career in healthcare.  Most recently, she served as the Chief Operating Officer of Quincy Medical Center, a member of Steward Healthcare, in the greater Boston area, and held the position of Director of Operations for the Naples Community Hospital Physician Group in Naples.  She became Chief Operating Officer of Physicians Regional – Pine Ridge in June 2014.  Christine Ross, Executive Director of the BSEEDC said, “Susan is an energetic leader in the community and we are pleased to have her participation and area of expertise on our board.”
