Bonita Springs, Fla. (October 20, 2013) On October 8th at their Annual Meeting hosted by Shaw Development, the Bonita Springs Estero Economic Development Council (BSEEDC) announced the new officers on their Board of Directors. They include John Kozak of FineMark National Bank and Trust as Chairman, Bryan Filson of Nova Wealth Management as Secretary, and Tom Goettel of Shaw Development as Treasurer.
Beginning their first three-year term on the BSEEDC Board of Directors is Tom Goettel of Shaw Development, Bob Johns, MPA of Lee Memorial Health System, Matt Stepan of Premier Commercial, Inc., and Susan Takacs of Physicians Regional Healthcare System.
Returning to the BSEEDC Board of Directors is Patti Byers of Florida Community Bank, Bill Campos of Monarch Builders of SW Florida, Inc., Jan-Erik Hustrulid of Owen-Ames-Kimball Company, Richard Mancini of Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A. and Ben Nelson Jr. of Nelson Marine Construction, Inc.
Executive Director of the Bonita Springs Estero Economic Development Council said, “We are very fortunate to have a talented and dedicated group of leaders helping to push our regional economic development program forward. Our success to date is directly related to their volunteerism and expertise.”
Since their inception in 2011 the Bonita Springs Estero Economic Development Council clients have made more than $61M in investments and jobs in the Estero and Bonita marketplace. Because of the waiver of impact fees on existing commercial space in Bonita Springs, local businesses have saved over $400,000 on impact fees which has allowed them to hire contractors and trades people to build out their spaces, putting those saving right back into the economy.
The Bonita Springs Estero Economic Development Council is a growing public-private partnership with investors from across South Lee County, including the areas of Bonita Springs and Estero.
