Cape Coral Hospital earns prestigious Sterling Award

Created to recognize businesses and organizations for management and operations excellence, the Florida Governor’s Sterling Award is a prestigious honor and a highly coveted award. Cape Coral Hospital has earned the distinction of being the first community hospital honored with a Florida Sterling Award, and we could not be more proud. The Sterling Award recognizes business role models that other organizations can emulate based on a variety of criteria, including leadership, strategic planning, customer focus, measurement, analysis, knowledge management, workforce focus, operations focus and overall results.

Led by Scott Kashman, chief administrative officer, Cape Coral Hospital has developed an optimal healing environment, which intentionally emphasizes health, well-being, connectivity and engagement through services, programs and campus features, including an exercise pathway and gardens. “An optimal healing environment is about connectivity and finding a deeper meaning and purpose in our work,” Scott explains. “It fosters an environment of respect and support; and encourages more intentional and purposeful efforts.”
